World Book Day 2026: To celebrate World Book Day, Hospital School CHI at Temple Street were delighted to welcome Dublin City Centre Library, ILAC, in to promote library use and services. A selection of free World bookday books were also provided for students, families and staff as part of the visit. See more here.

The 13th biennial Hope Congress 2025 was held in Dublin. Hospital teachers from throughout the world attended the week-long conference to share experiences, knowledge and resources. The theme of this conference was ‘Sharing Information, Sharing Knowledge, Sharing Practice’.

The Teaching Council of Ireland created a video at HOPE following their contribution of a bursary towards the conference: video

Sparks is a wellbeing project involving six schools from England, Germany, Hungary, Ireland and Poland.

Sparks’ aims include:

  • improving mental health for young people.
  • opening up conversation and removing stigma around mental health.

The promotion of wellbeing is at the forefront of our teaching and throughout each month we explore a different value and actions associated with it.



Each month we work on themes that span across all curricular areas, whether it is project work, science experiments or music composition, we are sure to be working on something interesting!
